I am a professor at the UWC Mahindra College. Education had a tremendous effect on my life. My educational journey started with an early and narrow classical music training until I was 17, continuing on to the full breadth of the Liberal Arts, and an eclectic and variously successful collection of post-graduate engagements. I am an educator, passionate about designing transformative learning experiences. I continuously reflect on why we should be educated, the values that underpin our approaches to teaching and learning, and the power and politics of knowledge. I thrive on the critical optimism that the way things are is not the way they must be, and on the relentlessness, audacity, delight, and discomfort of working towards a better future. I believe in my fellow women’s capacity for moral imagination, extraordinary leadership, and real-world impact.
